Pass on Roop’s e mail address to the people who are coming to your event and ask guests to list the songs that they enjoy dancing to (roop@77events.co.uk). Roop will receive the song choices and compile a list specifically for your event. You can receive updates of the list so you can see it evolve. Then, you can even have the last say over which songs make the final list. Your disco will then feature a unique play list, specific to your occasion.

Dressing the Awards Ceremony Venue

Roop will head his Doub7e Seven team when they provide conference solutions at a day / night event in Manchester. The function rooms at Old Trafford Football Ground and at The Midland Hotel will host these events. Roop will provide a conference stage set at both venues. This will look vibrant and business like in the day, with a prominent fresh white appearance. The latest technology will be utilised so the key note speakers can be clearly heard as well as clearly seen by the day time delegates.

The evening event takes place at in the large Alexandra Suite of The Midland Hotel. Delegates will change into their elegant evening wear for a lavish evening meal. Roop’s team will use large screens, a fabulous stage set, unique table centre pieces and a strategic lighting plot to create a wonderful environment which will bring the event to life.

Oscar theme staff Christmas party

One of Roop’s favourite recent gigs was to entertain staff at The Kenwood Hall Hotel for their end of year party. The organisers had created an Oscars theme and the evening featured a spoof awards ceremony with big screen presentation. Like most hotels, the staff have engaging and entertaining personalities so the party had a special buzz from beginning to end. One of the many highlights of the evening was an impromptu singalong to Take That’s “Never Forget”, one of the many requests played by DJ Roop.

Fairytale Wedding

Bride to be Natasha found DJ Roop via a Google search. She knew what she wanted from a DJ for her wedding and Natasha and Roop clicked straight away from their very first phone call. Natasha submitted a play list of her favourite songs. The challenge for Roop was to intertwine the songs into the evening because they were as diverse as AC/DC’s “Highway To Hell” to the Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton classic “Islands In The Stream”. Natasha wanted a fairytale wedding at the glorious Allerton Castle and the highlight of the evening was DJ Roop’s memorable DJ show.

Persian wedding

DJ Roop’s MC skills were called for at a recent wedding between Shima, from Iran and Andy, from England. Persian weddings have important elements such as a specific service, a Persian knife dance, plus a unique Persian first dance. This precedes a Western first dance involving the bride, the groom and the bridesmaids. Shima and Andy met with Roop a couple of times to plan the wedding. Roop researched the latest in Persian dance music so Shima’s family could dance to the songs that they wanted to hear. The wedding was fabulous. DJ Roop compered the ceremonies and played an amazing show featuring the best in music from Iran and from Europe. This fusion of two cultures combined to create a unique occasion.

Entertainment extravaganza at wedding

Roop’s main role at this wedding was to coordinate a galaxy of performers. This began will an opera singer in church who sang a spellbinding rendition of ‘Ave Maria’. Roop also event managed the entertainment once guests made their way to the reception venue which included a string quartet, close up magician, bag piper, The Singing Waiters and the party covers band. There was so much entertainment that Roop didn’t start his DJ set until midnight. Guests left in the early hours under a shower of confetti from the confetti cannon, whilst listening to the bride’s favourite Michael Buble tracks which were performed by Roop’s sax player, whilst watching the amazing skills of a brilliant fire eater.

Bespoke play list for Medics Ball

When Newcastle University organised their Medics Ball, they wanted to take no chances with the DJ. Thus, they contacted DJ Roop because one of the event organisers had seen Roop provide the entertainment at a recent 40^th Birthday party. Part of Roop’s service was to take an on line poll of everyone’s favourite songs to compile a bespoke play list. Naturally, DJ Roop delivered an awesome show which went storming into the early hours!
